Families ask you what to use for records. Getting that answer right should pay you.
If you run a co-op, lead a homeschool group, operate a microschool, write for homeschool families, or counsel students whose learning does not fit a normal transcript, you field the same question every year: what should we use for records? You research the answer, you vouch for it with your own credibility, families act on it, and you earn nothing. This program changes the last part. You earn 30% of the first year when a family you refer chooses the paid tier, and the record itself stays free for every family you send, whether they ever pay or not.
The offer, stated plainly
When a family you refer starts a paid Family Pro subscription, you receive 30% of everything they pay Eformogi in their first year. As an example, a family who chooses Family Pro at $149 a year is worth about $45 to you. Referrals are tracked by a partner link, and payouts are quarterly. Partners never pay anything: no fee to join, no minimums, no purchase required.
What stays free does not change because you were paid. The record is free for families, forever: capture, the portfolio vault, witness co-signatures, the family-issued verifiable transcript, export. Witnessing is free for the teachers and coaches who co-sign. Verification is free for the receivers who check. Your commission comes out of Eformogi's revenue, not the family's price.
| You refer | First-year commission (example, at $149/yr) |
|---|---|
| One family who goes Pro | about $45 |
| Ten families over a school year | about $450 |
| A co-op of 60 families where 20 go Pro | about $900 |
The honest caveat: a family who uses the free record and never buys anything earns you nothing, and that is by design. You are recommending the free thing. The commission exists only when a family chooses the optional paid paperwork service (Family Pro: state filings, ESA expense reports, one-off letters, generated from the record they already keep) on top of it.
How it works
- Request your partner link. Email partners@eformogi.com with your name and the group or audience you serve. The self-serve signup flow is being built; for now a person reads that inbox and sets your link up by hand, usually within a few days.
- Share it where you already answer the records question. The co-op welcome packet, the resource page, the newsletter, the reply you send every August. The link carries the attribution; there is nothing else to track.
- Get paid quarterly. 30% of what your referred families paid in their first year. The payout rail is being set up; early partners are paid by check or bank transfer while the dashboard is built.
The program is opening now, which means the honest version of this page is short on screenshots: there is no partner dashboard yet and no self-serve link generator yet. What exists is the link, the attribution, the ledger, and a commitment to pay. Getting on the list means your link exists and your attribution runs from the day it goes live.
What you are actually recommending
Eformogi is the records office for families whose kid's learning does not fit a normal transcript: homeschool, mastery-based, project-based, alternative pathways. The family keeps one record as the year happens, and the paperwork (the compliance filings, the portfolio, the transcript colleges and scholarship programs can verify at a public link with no account) comes out of that record instead of being reconstructed every deadline season.
The parts that matter for your conscience: the family owns the record and can export all of it at any time, the free tier is the product rather than a trial, and nothing a family needs to leave is ever behind a paywall. You are not steering anyone into a subscription they are locked into. You are pointing them at a free, family-owned record that happens to have one optional paid convenience on top.
Why this exists
The people who serve nontraditional families (co-op directors, group leaders, microschool operators, counselors, the writers families actually trust) have always been the distribution channel for every tool in this space, and they have almost always done that work unpaid. We think the recommendation is worth money because it is worth trust, and we would rather pay the people families already listen to than pay an ad network. The family owns the record; you get paid for pointing them to something built on that premise. A recommendation should be a business relationship, not a favor.
Frequently asked questions
Is Eformogi really free for the families I refer?
The record is free for families, forever: capture, the portfolio vault, witness co-signatures, the verifiable transcript, verification, export. Witnessing is free for the teachers and coaches who co-sign, and verification is free for the colleges, employers, and programs who check. The one optional paid family service is Family Pro, which generates filled-in compliance paperwork (state filings, ESA expense reports, one-off letters) from the record a family already keeps, and every document previews filled-in, free, before any decision to pay.
How and when am I paid?
You receive 30% of everything a referred family pays Eformogi in their first year, paid out quarterly. As an example, if a family chooses Family Pro at $149 per year, that is about $45 to you. The payout rail is being set up now; early partners are paid by check or bank transfer while the automated dashboard is built, and the manual start changes nothing about what you are owed.
What counts as a referral?
A family that is new to Eformogi, arrives through your partner link, and starts a paid Family Pro subscription within 90 days. Attribution is carried by the link, so there is nothing for you or the family to file. Self-referrals, families already on Eformogi, and purchases billed through a state ESA marketplace (which carry their own pricing and their own platform fees) do not generate commission. The full written terms come with your link.
Can I recommend this in good conscience?
That is the right question, and the answer is yes, for reasons you can check yourself: the record is free for families forever, the family owns it and can export everything at any time, receivers verify it at a public link with no account, and the only paid thing is an optional paperwork service that previews free before anyone pays. Your commission comes out of Eformogi's revenue, not the family's price: a family you refer pays exactly what a family who walked in on their own pays.
